Obon is an annual celebration to honor the spirits of ancestors. During this time, ancestors return to visit their descendants, and families gather to pay respect. People visit family graves and come together to share delicious meals and family stories. The main event is the colorful dancing, which the whole community gathers for and joins in. Shinsho Mugen Daiko will take part in this traditional event with our drumming.
